Innovation Properties

After a nearly 20-year career as a psychologist, I decided to get my real estate license. I had a very successful two-and-a-half-year career as an agent in Dubai from 2004-2006. During that time, I worked at one of the largest real estate companies in the Middle East and I loved and was good at what I did. I eventually left because I enrolled in a doctoral program and began my career in psychology. I did however continue to keep connected to the field by buying and selling a number of homes over the years since then (one is pictured here) and I also had a small investment and vacation rental property.
Related to my professional experience is that my mother was an extremely successful real estate agent back in the 1980s and now personally owns and manages a multi-million dollar property portfolio consisting of roughly 70 properties. My grandfather said that my mom never saw a house she didn’t like and she has pretty much spent the past 40 years buying all sorts of them! In that regard, I grew up in the property business and am somewhat involved with my mother’s business today so I haven’t really ever left.
Now, for the pure love of the business and sharing my expertise, I’m a licensed agent in the state of Virginia. And of course I use many valuable skills that I learned as a psychologist and researcher like listening, critical thinking, and analysis, to help clients make informed decisions about buying, selling, and investing. I also bring qualities that psychologist must have like honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, and deep professional ethics to my work as an agent. The brokerage I am currently with is Innovation Properties and you can see my profile here: https://www.innovationproperties.com/agents/Carrie_York/8809066
